Muffin Tin Challenge 2017

 http://humblebeads.blogspot.com/2017/01/muffin-tin-challenge-official-enteries.html
The 2017 Muffin Tin Challenge has come to an end. I've managed to complete nine pieces to knock myself out of the post holiday slump. We've had a round of big storms here in NorCal over the past 10 days with torrential rains that have lead to localized flooding. Thankfully nothing major in my area, other than some floating gophers which were rescued, dried out, and returned to the wild.

Some of these are pieces I had started at various times throughout the past several months and not completed, others are brand new from start to finish.

A big thanks to Heather Powers from HumbleBeads for this challenge!! It's the perfect way to start off the jewelry making year!

Midnight Pearl Mala - Cultured Pearls, Glass, Knotted Silk, Hemp tassel.

Earth Talisman - Botswana Agate, Peach Moonstone, Picture Jasper.

Forest Friend - Red Creek Jasper, wood

Forest Creek - Rhyolite, Rutilated Quartz

Stormy Shore - Amazonite, Abalone, Quartz, Cultured Pearl, Peruvian Blue Opal.

The Greening Tree - Handmade Ceramic Tree Pendant, glass

Scorched Earth - Purple Chalcedony, Carnelian

Cosmic Owl - Lucite, Glass, Titanium coated Hematite

Return of the Sun - Handmade Soldered Sunstone pendant, Iolite, Moonstone
Tiny Talisman of Fire - Sunstone, Harlequin Quartz, Amber

When the time is right...

And the woman may be awestruck
And the woman may truly care
But the woman is so tired
So the woman disappears

Muffin Tin Challenge 2017

I've been gone for a while, doing my thing over in Facebook land mostly. But, I'm thinking it might be time to get back to this blog thing. Especially now that it's easy to do from my phone!

I'm starting this new year by playing along with Humblebeads' Muffin Tin Challenge 2017. After spending the past several months in creating for the Holiday shopping season mode, I can now get back in to creating for the heck of it mode. Which means I have lots of random bits laying around that need finishing. Heather's challenge is a great way to kick start my creative momentum.
